Graduate Assistant for Women's Resource Center

(Position filled for 2008-09)

Qualifications:

Student must be admitted into a graduate degree program at UNC. Preference will be given to those enrolled in HESA, ELPS, Counseling, or related field. Experience in women's resource centers, student activities, or cultural centers preferred. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of self-direction, organization, initiative, and reliability. Possess desire and ability to serve a diverse clientele in addition to knowledge of feminism and women's initiatives.

Responsibilities: Specific duties include, but are not limited to: advising student groups, planning and implementing programs, administering program budgets, supervising interns and volunteers, and managing publicity and public relations. This position requires some evening and weekend hours.

FTE/Salary:

3.75 FTE (9month position, 20 hours per week.) Qualifies for in-state tuition assistance.
