Q: When visiting UNC, are state-issued disabled placards valid?
A: Visitors with disablities who display a state handicap placard or state handicap license plate must also buy and display a UNC Visitor Permit or a UNC Daily Dispenser Permit to park in the "Disabled" spaces on campus. The UNC Visitor Permit allows visitors to park in all disabled spaces, regular spaces and metered spaces. The UNC Daily Dispenser Permit allows them to park in all disabled spaces and regular spaces, but not in metered spaces.
