Gary DutmersGary knew he wanted to make his living as a writer after his eighth-grade English teacher gave him an F for a short story he wrote, saying it was too good to not have been plagiarized. He's spent the last 30 years writing for a variety of employers and clients that have included colleges, newspapers, magazines, non-profit organizations and Fortune 500 companies. He has been the University of Northern Colorado's promotional writer since December 2005. He and his wife Marsha moved to Colorado with their three children in 1973 and have lived as empty-nesters in Loveland since 2000.
