The proliferation and commercialization of the Internet has among other things empowered individuals, made available vast amounts of data, and has provided new economic growth opportunities.  However, with this there has been a significant growth of data security issues.

Here at the University of Northern Colorado we take Data Security very seriously.  As a result of our strong commitment to data security many steps have been taken to safeguard the campus community from cyber security threats.  It is, however, the responsibility of every individual within the UNC community to take steps to safeguard information and themselves.
