Overview: Using ViewMail for Outlook

ViewMail for Microsoft Outlook lets you send, listen to, and manage voice messages from your Outlook Inbox. ViewMail Help describes how to perform these tasks. For information about using Outlook to manage your e-mail messages, see the Outlook Help.

Voice Messaging from the Inbox

You can send messages to subscribers, and private and public distribution lists. When you receive a voice message, you can use the information in the From field to identify the sender. This field will either contain the name of a Cisco Unity subscriber or "Unity Messaging System," if a message is left by someone who is not a Cisco Unity subscriber, or by a subscriber who did not log on to Cisco Unity first. The Subject field may display the phone number of the caller, if that information is available.

ViewMail has a Media Master control bar, which you use to record and play messages (see the "Working with the Media Master Control Bar" section).
