University departments can purchase cell phones for departmental use.  Service is provided through Verizon Wireless.  There is no activation fee with the University service. Various plans and phones are available. Verizon Wireless offers an 18% discount off of retail price plans and significant discounts on the equipment purchase. Personal calls made with the University cell phone need to be reimbursed to the department at .18 per minute.
