Mission Statement
The University of Northern Colorado is committed to promoting an environment in which: Students develop an appreciation for diversity; culture is respected; and equal opportunity is afforded.
In support of the University of Northern Colorado’s mission to provide services that support equal learning opportunities, the Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender (GLBT) Resource Office is established to ensure unrestricted access and full involvement of GLBT students in all aspects of the University.
Prejudice, bigotry, harassment, and violence are common barriers GLBT students face in earning their degrees. The GLBT Resource Office serves as the catalyst to create a campus environment free from prejudice, bigotry, harassment, and violence. The GLBT Resource Office works to create a positive healthy student life through educational, cultural, social, and recreational programs. Through these programs the GLBT Resource office will foster opportunities for student intellectual growth, personal growth, leadership, and social responsibility.
