Get to know ME!
The best part of my job: The people. The customers, the staff, and the faculty.
The first job I ever had was: Babysitting.
The strangest job I’ve ever had was: Medical records for one summer. My job was to dispose of medical history records of deceased patients. By myself. For 8 hours. For 2 weeks. Made me appreciate daylight, human contact, and good medical care.
If I weren’t in food service: That medical records thing could have worked out. If only I had gotten accustomed to the basement!
My refrigerator always contains: Soy sauce, chili sauce, and garlic. The basic building blocks of a good sauce to cover everything I cook. To be served with either steamed rice or refried beans!
My favorite meal is: There are so many choices! But no matter what, it has to be fresh and made well.
The best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at was: This is a never ending journey! I've committed my life to finding the "best" restaurant ever. The things I do in the name of making life better for all mankind.
People tell me the celebrity I most resemble is:
In my spare time, I like to: Chase my kids in the yard, get chased back, watch mindless TV, read good books, assist my husband in moving 100 gallon aquariums out of my basement forever (yay!), and of course, visit friends & family.
People are often most surprised to find out that I: Am double jointed in my index finger! No really...want to see? It's the only part of my body that is flexible enough to do yoga poses.
The living person I’d most like to have dinner with is: A good dinner conversationalist who would entertain, enlighten, teach, and make me feel welcome.
The person from history I’d most like to meet is: The person not known to history but who I'd like to meet would be my maternal grandfather who I never met.
My favorite movie is: Don't have a favorite movie.
On television I never miss: George Lopez, House, Law & Order... there are so many more but if I told you, you'd think that I spend all my spare time watching TV and didn't read books.
My car radio is almost always tuned to: KUNC in one car, The Fox in the other.
I would most like to visit: Ironically, I would love to travel through Mexico and do all the "tourist things" at the Mayan & Aztec ruins, the oceanfront resorts, etc.
Five things I can’t live without: Chocolate, Family, Friends, Books, Trips to New Places.
