• UNC's Graduate Commencement ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 9 at the Butler-Hancock Field House.

• UNC's Undergraduate Commencement ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. May 10, 2008 at Nottingham Field. Colorado First Lady and UNC alumna Jeannie Ritter will give the charge to the graduates.

• UNC Professor of Marketing Vish Iyer earns a national award, one of 10 professors in the country selected for teaching excellence in his field.

• UNC Professor of Psychology Nancy Karlin was recently named the recipient of the Rocky Mountain Psychological Association's 2008 Distinguished Service Award.

• Professor Joan L. Clinefelter in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences has earned this year’s M. Lucile Harrison Award, UNC’s top faculty honor. The annual award recognizes a faculty member with a distinguished career in teaching, professional activity and service.
