K-12 Postbaccalaureate Licensure Program

The Program is pending CDE and CDHE Approval. For students seeking first time K-12 licensure, a completed baccalaureate degree in one of the following the majors: Sport and Exercise Science, Visual Arts or Music. Those with a degree in other areas must declare a “Second Bachelors Degree.” Students will have their transcripts evaluated for major content; additional content classes maybe required.The program includes a combination of on-campus and extended studies courses. On-campus tuition is $221.75/credit, Extended Studies tuition is $340/credit.

Admission
- All applicants wishing to count licensure hours toward a Master of Arts or Master of Science degree in any area must apply to the Graduate School for admission into the MA or MS degree program at the same time he or she applies to the Post Baccalaureate Licensure program in K 12. An interview with an appropriate content advisor is required.
- If you wish to self-evaluate your transcripts, access UNC catalogue, then find an appropriate undergraduate degree (teacher education emphasis), and see which courses you might be missing.
- Applicants must have an 3.0 GPA for admission in the last 60 credit hours of course work.
