Memberships
Students currently enrolled at UNC automatically become members of the Campus Recreation Center when their student fees are paid in full. Bring your UNC ID to the Center to gain entry and start enjoying all that we have to offer.
Employees, spouses, domestic partners and dependents will need to complete a CRC Non-Student Membership Application. Bring completed applications to the Campus Recreation Administrative Offices and select the method of payment. Cash, check, or credit cards are accepted from students. Cash, check, credit card and payroll deductions are payment options for employees.
Married couples must show marriage certificate or follow steps for domestic partners. Domestic partners must show proof of shared residence and one of the following: 1) Joint bank account or loan; 2) Joint insurance or listing as beneficiary on insurance or retirement; 3) Joint car registration; or 4) Other legal documentation of financial interdependence.
The Card Office will issue each family member a UNC Rec Center ID card. To receive the ID card, take the application and payment receipt from Campus Recreation to the UNC Card Office at the University Center. This new card will be activated only after each family member updates the paid membership form at the Campus Recreation Administrative Office by recording the 15-digit ID card number.
All Rec Center members must bring their ID cards to the Center to gain entry, check out equipment and participate in programs.
Membership Fee Schedule
Faculty or Staff: Annual - $300 or Month - $30
Faculty or Staff Spouse/Domestic Partner: Annual - $300 or Month - $30 Faculty or Staff Dependents, 18 - 25: Annual - $300 or Month - $30 UNC Alumni: Annual - $390 or Month - $39 UNC Affiliate: Annual - $400 or Month - $40 Student Spouse/Domestic Partner: Semester - $85 Summer - Student and Spouse/Domestic Partner: Semester - $85 (Summer membership for students pre-enrolled for fall classes but not enrolled in summer classes. See Student Membership page for more information).
Refund Policy Substantiated health problems or employment termination at UNC are the only reasons for membership refunds on a pro-rated basis. Cancellations will be charged a $25 cancellation fee.
