Take Back The Night
The purpose of the Take Back the Night is to unify the community of Greeley, Colorado to protest violence against people of all genders, ethnicities, and orientations and to promote awareness of the attitudes and behaviors that perpetuate violence.
The first Tack Back the Night March was held in Germany in 1973 in response to sexual assaults and murders that were occurring. Today, Take Back the Night Marches are held throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America, India and Europe.
We unite this fall semester on October 4, 2007 to make our community a safe place. We unite to raise awareness so that the tragedies of our past will not be repeated. We continue our fight so that when the sun sets, our community will be a safer place for everyone.
