Textbooks and Readings usedDue to the goals and learning outcomes of UNC’s FYE 108, there are many different ways to help students learn about how to be a successful college student. Therefore, each instructor has the opportunity to utilize a book of their choice, as long as it helps students reach the 8 desired learning outcomes associated with this course. Additionally, with the growth in UNC's FYE 108 and movement towards helping students connect with students, faculty, and content in their incoming major or interest area, discipline-based texts may be used as a supplement to the UNC FYE 108 course. It is a relatively inexpensive book and a fun read, and can give you some insights into college life before actually stepping foot on a college campus. |
